{"id":208,"date":"2026-10-01T21:06:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T21:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hostinghappisoft.xyz\/programmes\/projet-fdc\/"},"modified":"2026-10-01T21:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T21:06:09","slug":"projet-fdc","status":"publish","type":"programme","link":"https:\/\/hostinghappisoft.xyz\/en\/programmes\/projet-fdc\/","title":{"rendered":"FDC Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Improving strategies to adjust and adapt the employability skills of recently arrived, racialized French-speaking women who are survivors of violence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Mission<\/h2>\n<p>To foster the growth of French-speaking immigrant and refugee women and survivors of violence through social and professional integration, so they can contribute to the local economy through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>providing Toronto\u2019s job market with a quality workforce in various fields, according to their career plans;<\/li>\n<li>offering their communities quality eco-friendly linens at competitive prices, along with other sewing and clothing services;<\/li>\n<li>marketing goods and services in various skilled trades.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Purpose and objectives<\/h2>\n<p>The overall goal is to sustainably improve participants\u2019 employability by adjusting and adapting their knowledge and skills to market demand.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help build a resilient workforce<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate participants\u2019 access to employment in skilled trades<\/li>\n<li>Build employability partnerships to support women in their learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Expected results<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge acquired and skills developed in employability, mental health\/self-management and entrepreneurship<\/li>\n<li>40 participants take part in full-service workforce training projects<\/li>\n<li>At least 28 participants in training leading to skilled trades and apprenticeship opportunities<\/li>\n<li>At least 8 partners and 4 educational and training institutions engaged<\/li>\n<li>All 40 participants gain the knowledge to run a self-employment unit (sewing, hairdressing, child care, cooking, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Support for individual or collective self-employment<\/li>\n<li>Better social integration of La Maison\u2019s clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Intervention approaches<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Workshops on foundational and transferable employability skills<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring, mental health and personal development support<\/li>\n<li>Referrals to job search workshops<\/li>\n<li>Support for apprenticeships in skilled trades and personalized learning plans<\/li>\n<li>Support in carrying out the employment plan<\/li>\n<li>Inclusion support: networking, job fairs, internships, mentor-mentee matching<\/li>\n<li>Support measures for participation (child care, transportation, tuition)<\/li>\n<li>Certificates of participation;
